PROJECT SUMMARY
Durham Construction Company, Inc. completed the construction of the Fresno County Regional Forensic Facility, a state-of-the-art 14,500 square foot masonry structure designed to serve as a modern morgue and forensic center for the County of Fresno. This project showcases our expertise in delivering complex, specialized facilities with precision and adherence to stringent regulatory standards.
The yearlong project involved demolishing existing structures, abating asbestos and lead, connecting new hydronic piping, electrical, and low-voltage systems to the existing courthouse and site infrastructure. Specialized project features were incorporated into the building including terrazzo and epoxy flooring, healthcare equipment, fire suppression systems (including clean agent), metal laboratory casework, Â door access control systems, closed-circuit television for chain-of-evidence security, an interior 190-body storage unit, an exterior 10-body storage unit, four autopsy suites, a CT scanner, and redundant mechanical systems.
This state of the art facility provides Fresno County with a modern, secure, and efficient space to conduct forensic investigations.
